Offshore Stick WRC – Designed with a state of the art technology for targeting Big Fish

<Tokara> exclusively for GT, <55 Nirai> exclusively for Jigging, and <73 Kerama> for Yellowfin & GT are graphite rods with high elasticity and high strength.　These are the highest performance rods in our offshore stick WRC series.

The 30ton + 40ton graphite composite and 3D cloth binding special manufacturing method which winds graphite cloth from 3 directions increased strength 35% and elasticity by 10%, while reducing weight by 20% and spine by 60%, compared to our former manufacturing method.

As a result, finished rods are easy to use and highly reliable because they are so lightweight, thin, and strong.

WRC-Tokara 60 for Giant Trevally

Tokara 60 is a special rod developed to catch Trevally over 60kg weight. Designed with water pressure in mind which is given to the cup at the time of hooking, this rod is especially optimum for big-sized popper. It has such a strong butt power that anglers who can fight by maintaining the rod angle 45° - 60° can catch big GT in a short amount of time due to incomparable self restorative force produced by the 3D cloth binding special manufacturing method.

<Tokara Field Test>

This rod is produced to target 60kg over in Tokara waters. Mr. Kozo Okubo caught several 50kg over’s. He finished the final test by setting an astounding record of catching a 159cm weighing 57kg in the fighting time of 5 minutes 20 seconds on August 2, 2002., the details of which are shown in Salt W Vol.27 (P140 -), Vol.28 (P64 -) publication}

WRC-55 Nirai Jig Rod for Big Game

It is a jigging rod for heavy weight jig, developed exclusively for big games. Middle elasticity graphite is used for the tip section in order to prevent jig’s over action, and middle & high elasticity graphite composite for the belly section for smooth transfer of torque and absorption of resistance by fish. An instant repulsive force produced by 40ton high elasticity graphite butt successfully controls the fish which tries to run straight to the hide after hooking.

<55 Nirai Field Test>

After confirming the performance of Tokara 60 blanks, we started development of a jigging rod for big fish using the same material, and after one year of developing period, completed the one that can maneuver 500g jig under the arm.

In August 2002, we fought with an unidentified big fish for three and half an hours using this rod. The fish died and the line broke. Normally, the fight with a big fish weighing more than 100kg is limited within two hours because graphite fiber is stretched from fatigue and rod is broken. This fight proved the durability of the rod and we gave green light to the production.

WRC54 FREMANTLE has been developed targeting Samson fish in Fremantle, Australia. The 24ton + 30ton middle elasticity super high strength graphite is used for the blank material, and the latest 5D cloth binding special manufacturing method (*) to enhance strength. In our static load test, the rod cleared 40kg at the rod angle of 45 degrees. This rod realized a spec. far surpassing that of our former rod blanks, i.e., strength increased by 40%, weight reduced by 25%, and torsion reduced by 60%. (*) = graphite cloth is wound up from 5 directions

A reliable rod which enhanced he spec. to the maximum , assuming the condition that an angler wears a fighting belt in a standing fight with big fish.

(Komodo Dragon)

As the name indicates, this rod was developed based on our actual fishing in Komodo Island which is famous for Komodo Dragon. In our final tests, it caught 2 fish which are 162cm and 164cm in length, both weighing 60kg over.

In order to accomplish the purpose of “Catch and Release” even under rigorous conditions, a unique special graphite material is used which enhances elasticity. The blanks are designed for shortening fighting time.
